Valencia

Valencia

Valencia has a long tradition of allotments, which are located both within the inner capital city and in different municipalities of the metropolitan area and peri-urban spaces. The recent Urban Agriculture Plan, which is to be implemented soon and foresees the extension of urban gardens in Valencia, is a perfect political framework to develop the project's activities.

Warsaw

Warsaw

Warsaw is an example of various types of urban gardens (private, social, communal) differing in their historical genesis, the scale of participation and diversity of stakeholder groups and location in the city structure. There were typical, traditional allotment gardens, semi-private windowsill gardens in block-of-flats, current grass-roots initiatives, community gardens and informal community parks, and eventually socio-therapeutic plots near community centres.

Brașov

Brașov is an example of a municipality seeking to become a green city by discouraging construction in forested areas and with great potential to extend urban gardens and agroforestry experiences.
